I have been using Bing Chat for over two months and am impressed by its features. Some are still in development, but they already demonstrate great promise. Here are a few examples of what Bing Chat can do.

Bing Chat

A valuable feature of Bing Chat is the button on the right corner of the Edge browser that lets you ask questions about any document. For example, if you have a legal contract and you want to understand it quickly, you can open it to Edge browsers and ask Bing Chat for a summary, the termination clause, the validity period, and so on. Bing Chat can handle any format, including PDFs, and extract information.

Image generator

Bing Chat can also create images for you in seconds. This is handy if you are writing a blog and need original images. You have to tell Bing Chat what you want the image to show, and it will generate it for you.

Composing text

Bing Chat can also help you write content based on your ideas. Whether you need an email, a blog post, or a brainstorm, you can give Bing Chat a sentence and it will generate text for you. You can also choose the tone of the text, such as Professional, Casual, Informational, Funny, etc.

Having said so, there is a lot of limitation and scope for improvement

Not yet ready to do the financial calculation

I tested Bing Chat with some questions about monthly payments and hypothetical scenarios. Some of the answers were incorrect. It gave confident but misleading responses.

Information is not always accurate.

Another issue I encountered with Bing Chat was when I searched for people. Sometimes it would merge and mix up two different people with the same name.

Biased Results

One of the challenges of using Bing Chat is formulating the right questions to get accurate and unbiased results. If you ask questions that are too narrow or one-sided, you might get results that confirm your assumptions or expectations. To avoid this, you should ask multiple questions that cover different aspects and perspectives of the topic. This way, you can get more comprehensive and balanced answers from Bing Chat.
